3d Environments: Part 8 (modeling done)
I booleaned out the last of the passageways and put some “implied detail” elements into the glass ceiling building as shown below. There may be other modeling elements to add to this place, but they will be added as needed.
Tonight and probably for the next few days, I’ll be working on texturing/surfacing… yet another skill in my modeling workflow which I don’t have a whole lot of confidence in. A lot of my textures will likely come from CGtextures.com, but I will have to do some painting and altering as well.
I may have some help with lighting up this place when I finish (thank the gods)… trying to do Lighting in LW 9.6 feels like trying to use a lawnmower to clear snow.
EDIT: meh… I don’t even know where to start with texturing… I guess I’ll just pick a single element and try to focus on it. I think this is mainly due to the fact that some of Delura’s environments aren’t exactly abundant with real world references, adding some challenge factor in the mix.
