We’ve been working on concepts for a new race in the Delura Universe. Since someone was asking what my sketches would look like should I offer them as an incentive, I figured I’d revisit this potential race. I’m working with the name of Avox, but that’s still up in the air. Namely it’s dependent on Ryan, and then the fact that I’m uncertain how the name would be received since I just remembered that Avox is the name of the slaves in the Hunger Games series… so… maybe not? I’m not sure. Either way here is the concept sketch of it. Of course what I’d offer would be more finished, as well as possibly colored/shaded/textured. I’d give another example but I’m afraid that I do not have anything relevant at the time.
EDIT: Here, have a second Quickie sketch fresh this morning. Been wanting to do something of Swami. I dunno why but I have a soft spot for the kiddo.

I love the Swami sketch
probably because I’m Swami lol and I love the new avian race I don’t know about the name though. I would give a suggestion but the only thing I have is Lintu which is what my Finnish friend called me which lead to my nickname being Bird lol. Of course coming up with names isn’t really my job
And no Ryan he isn’t emo, just misunderstood.
Looks pretty cool, I like the Swami sketch… he is such an emo character. Silly angst complexes…
I don’t care for the Avox name (even less so after knowing the Hunger Games bit)… and I always thought of “Morph” in general being a race consistent of anthropomorphs which the new race kind of is. Of course, another alternative is to have them by technically be another race but classified as morph for their shared traits? That’s a very speculative topic in the series development end. I don’t think it will affect the story regardless, but we do face the chance of nerd rage if we can’t make up our minds!
Speaking of races… some crazy random dude was saying how the race/species classifications in the character bios pages should be looked at, and that referencing the classifications of lifeforms in scientific biological terms may be better and more accurate to do.
I was just about to say that the “Avox” looks a little too avian to not be a morph. Though I’d build on the idea.
